Quick Dev Tools ("we", "us") operates https://quick-dev-tools.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

1. Data Collection and Processing

All tools run entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. We do not collect, store, transmit, or process any data you input into our tools. Your data stays on your device at all times. When you use the "Share" feature, data is encoded in the URL hash fragment (#), which is never sent to our servers.

2. Lawful Basis for Processing (GDPR Article 6)

We process data under the following lawful bases:

Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): Google Analytics and Google AdSense cookies are loaded only after you give explicit, granular consent via our cookie banner. You may accept or reject each category independently.
Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f)): Cloudflare cookies for website security and performance. Our legitimate interest is ensuring the website remains secure and performant for all visitors.

3. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use first-party cookies. Third-party services are loaded only after you give explicit consent via our cookie banner. You can independently control each category:

4. Categories of Information Collected by Third Parties

When you consent to third-party cookies, the following categories of information may be collected by our service providers:

IP address (anonymized by GA4 by default)
Browser type, version, and language
Device type and screen resolution
Approximate geographic location (derived from IP)
Page views, clicks, and interaction data
Cookie and device identifiers
Inferred interests and demographics (AdSense only)

Quick Dev Tools does not have direct access to individual-level data from these services. We only see aggregated, anonymized reports.

5. Data Retention

Quick Dev Tools: We retain no user data. All tool processing is ephemeral and client-side.
Google Analytics: Aggregated data is retained for 14 months (our configuration). IP addresses are not stored (GA4 default).
Google AdSense: Cookie data is retained for up to 2 years per Google's Cookie Policy.
Cloudflare: Security logs are retained per Cloudflare's Privacy Policy, typically up to 4 days.

6. Data Processing Agreements

We rely on Google's and Cloudflare's standard Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), which incorporate Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for international data transfers in compliance with GDPR Article 28 and Chapter V. These agreements ensure that all processors handle data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

7. Data Security

Since we collect no user data, there is no risk of data breaches on our end. All tool processing occurs locally in your browser. The website is served over HTTPS for encrypted connections.

8. Your Rights

GDPR (EU/EEA)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

Access: Request information about data processed about you.
Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
Erasure: Request deletion of your data. Since we store no data, erasure from our systems is not needed. To delete data held by Google, visit Google Data & Privacy.
Portability: Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
Withdraw consent: Click "Cookie Settings" in the footer at any time. Third-party scripts will stop loading on your next visit.
Lodge a complaint: Contact your local Data Protection Authority.

Quick Dev Tools does not require a Data Protection Officer (DPO) under GDPR Article 37, as we do not engage in large-scale data processing. Privacy inquiries: hello@quick-dev-tools.com.

CCPA (California)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to:

Know what personal information is collected (see Section 4 above).
Delete personal information held by service providers.
Opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

We do not sell or share your personal information. Google AdSense and Google Analytics are service providers, not data brokers. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings.

9. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Quick Dev Tools does not sell or share personal information as defined under CCPA/CPRA. If you have questions or wish to exercise your rights, contact hello@quick-dev-tools.com.

10. Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through third-party services while using our site, please contact us.

11. International Users

Quick Dev Tools is accessible worldwide. In addition to GDPR and CCPA, we respect regional privacy laws including PIPEDA (Canada), LGPD (Brazil), and POPIA (South Africa). Our zero-collection approach and explicit consent mechanism comply with the core principles of these frameworks.
